Dahlias

Holly came to the city looking for a new start after escaping from the cult she was raised in. There she meets Fawzia, a strange but charming woman who works at an old bookstore, and who welcomes her with open arms. Confident she's left the evils of her past behind her, she spends every day drinking tea, reading corny romance novels, and generally being a freeloader in Fawzia's apartment.

But unfortunately, the seemingly enchanting city might be hiding a dark underbelly, and in it might dwell things that want to do Holly harm; worse yet, the monsters she ran away from are good at following the scent of blood.

sleeps 14 hours a day
works at a bookstore full of many weird and unreadable tomes (who owns it? we may never know)
Holly suspects she might be a witch and/or a vampire

just a college dropout and her blog against the alien infiltrated government.

she likes to report on weird stories she hears in her travels around the country.
maybe she'll run into some of our protagonists.
they sure seem to attract trouble.
